R.J. Rhodes Engineering, Inc. was founded by Ralph J, Rhodes, PE, PSM in January 1999 and is located in Sarasota, Florida.  The firm is structured as a Florida Corporation and is registered as a legal entity with the Department of State.   The firm is licensed by the State of Florida to provide both Engineering and Land Surveying services and is fully insured to meet the Client’s Corporate insurance demands.

The corporate officers are:
Ralph J. Rhodes, PSM/PE         -          President
Michael S. LaBarr, PSM -          Vice President of Surveying
Michael J. Rhodes, PE  -          Vice President of Engineering

The company has been providing professional surveying and mapping services to the general public in Sarasota and Manatee County and has steady growth at this time.

The backbone of any successful company is its employees.  We have actively sought qualified professionals to meet our Client’s needs.  Our firm has a group of dedicated and highly motivated professionals that are cross trained with the ability to fill various office/field positions as needed.  That versatility gives R. J. Rhodes Engineering an excellent advantage in the firms approach to projects from field to finish thus allowing us to provide our clients with the level of service and standardization to meet today’s stringent standards of practice, accuracies, and due diligence.

The firm utilizes “state of the art” computer design and survey equipment.

In an effort to protect our environment and in keeping with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980, R. J. Rhodes Engineering, Inc. uses digital electronic signing and sealing of crucial electronic documents whenever possible to reduce the need for an exchange of paper documents in person that are time sensitive. This has helped to reduce the amount of paper documents our firm produces and the space required to house those documents.

The use of GIS interactive maps and their associated data by our firms has become a valuable tool  in project assessment. The incorporation of shape files and KMZ files referenced to the Florida State Plane Coordinate System has been used to illustrate geographic data on Google Earth to aide in our clients
